Dave,
That is a really neat beta testing product that the kid has people buying. You have to OIL both side of the trickler were the tube goes through every 200 rounds. Oil with capillary action as well as being drawn inside the measure by the rotation of the trickler tube. It is a very interesting start. I see more promising one offs being made. It is just a matter of time before someone makes one that works and does not reek of amateur hour. Granted everyone who has bought in believes IT is the second coming. I thinking it portends great things to come...

fwiw & Imho, Matt.

Didn't RCBS or somebody already do this?

I give the kid credit for trying.
And it does not cost 4000 dollars like the Prometheus goat ph-uck
I've been using a RCBS powder trickler....ie the same one... for 35 years and i've never felt the need to put oil on it.
A decent powder throw and you might only need to trickle a half a grain to finish up.Running it this way I dont think any lube would be necessary.
I've gotten some pretty funny looks from people when I tell them that ive shot thrown powder charges at a 1000 yard match...
Granted a more robust trickler wouldn't hurt.
Im still fence sitting with a balance and then this thing comes along.
As much as im loading.
im always interested in automating the bull work.

I have an old Midway battery powered trickler that has worked for over ten years. Just needs a new set of batteries every once in a while. Don't know when they stopped making them.

Yes they have to a point. The RCBS chargmasters and PACTS have digital balances that are a bit crude.Shall we say.
The balances that Adam uses are much more accurate.
The FX120 is a dandy one.
The one that Matt has is laboratory grade.
Ill have some version of this thing by the beginning of next shooting season.Im already shooting against several people using it.
Im sticking with my RCBS 304.
For now.
