I picked up a 338 Winchester this week along with some Federal plated brass and some Nosler 210 Partitions. Looking for recommended load data. I would also like to try the Speer 200 gr.

RL-19 is your huckleberry

The two I had both like RL-19 and 225 gr Hornady Interlocks best..... The model 70 was a .5" gun with that load.

With 200-210 grain bullets Reloder 15 will get almost as much velocity as 19, with very fine accuracy and a much less temperature-sensitive powder.

I agree 100% with this. I have used RL 15 and the 180 BT & now 180 Accubonds with much success. If you can find Big Game that works well with the 180-200 gr. bullets too.

Also I use H-4895 with their 60% rule for summer position shooting; these loads are great to get to know your rifle without the excessive recoil and allows for extended range sessions.

The past couple years I have used 58.0 grs of H-4895 with a 180 BT for a great deer & hog load basically a 30-06.

Love my .338! I have hunted and loaded for mine the past 15 yrs. great cartridge.

I use the IMR 4350, very accurate in my Sako. Guys on my lease claim 4350 is an old man powder.

As an all-around powder I'd recommend RL-17. It gives good to excellent velocities as well as accuracy. And in my 9.3 X 62 it's a miracle powder (if you're not opposed to powder compression) that shows strong resistance to temperature swings.

Rel 15 is your best powder for the 210

I like RL17 and RL-19 with 225s in my 338WM. Both powders get me great accuracy and 2900+ fps with a 225 grainer.

I shot a lot of game many years ago with 73 gr/IMR 4350/210 gr Partition. Very good load in several .338s (and before H4350 came out).

However, the bullets fired with this load today would probably bounce off elk and deer now that we're so sophisticated about temperature sensitivity.

I've had good success with RL-19 for both 210 Partitions and TTSXs as well as 250gr Partitions, TSX and Hornady.

Max loads of H=4831 gives me a velocity of 2,830 in my 24" barreled .338 Win with 225 Gr. Nosler Partitions. Shoots sub 1" moa. I've shot everything from Jackels to Eland with this load in Africa.

This is what I use and whom suggested it to me. I've used on on pronghorn to bison. Plus, since it takes a bit less powder to hit max it kicks less.
