Crap, you're right, it is Bad Axe, wasn't thinking
If you get up to Clare don't miss Jay's Sporting Goods. Big and very successful store.

Jay's Sporting Goods in Clare is well worth the extra 50 minutes or so drive time as is Cop's and Doughnuts bakery also in Clare. Frank's Great Outdoors just North of Bay City in Linwood, MI is more of a large hunting and tackle shop with a gun counter but is a cool store that's well staffed and caters to Saginaw Bay walleye fishing and waterfowl hunting. Duncans Outdoor Shop in Bay City is your typical small no frills gun shop. What sets it apart is the Owner Glen Duncan he's as nice a guy as you'll meet and one of the most knowledable gun guy in the area as well as a very skilled Smith.
Michigun in St Clair Shores-best place IMO. Ask for Richard
We live in Clare and, every week, have easy access to Jay's and Cops & Donuts. Glorya has been experiencing some health problems lately. So far, we have found that the best cure for what ails her is a couple of the huge and really wonderful chocolate cookies from C & D. Never mind all the expensive docs, these cookies do the trick.

Since Glorya and I are both diabetic, Cops and Donuts will probably be the death of us but we will certainly die happy.

I like Jays better than Cabelas!
Jay's just recently agreed to sponsor our local benchrest matches this summer. We shoot 100 yd. matches for both competition and factory varmint rifles. This year, at every match, the winner of each class will recieve a Jay's gift certificate as well as other prizes.

Any Michigan shooters who might be interested in shooting with us, contact me and I will get you a match schedule, map, etc, etc...

We each shoot five targets starting at 10 AM. We are normally done around 2 PM and most of us head for the local bar for Cokes and burgers. We're home in time to take Mother to dinner if we want. Our matches are fair and fun. We've been doing this since 1991 and have quite a few very loyal shooters.
