Working with a CZ 17 hornet. With Hornady 25gr V-Max. As I increase powder charge of Lilgun starting with 8.6 ( groups 1.7). Moving up 0.1 gr.at a time, at book max 8.9gr, groups at. 0.8,,,, anyone try 9.0. Our am I pushing it. No pressure signs yet. Mule deer please chime in, I tried CFE black. It hates it. Comment ??

Two questions:

Have you tried the max loads of CFEBLK? Often powders that don't result in very good accuracy with "starting loads" work much better with more powder.

My experience (and that of several others) is Li'l Gun is too fast-burning in .17 Hornet for the best results.

Have yet to hear of a .17 Hornet that didn't perk with Accurate 1680--which has a burn rate between Li'l Gun and CFEBLK.

Have not tried max dose of CFE black but I will and let you know what I find. And I will get some 1680 thanks John
