Don't have any big bores big enough to justify these- matter if fact i can't find any info on them. Anyone have any experience with these? Which cartridge? Any interest in them?

All information is appreciated

Barnes XLC bullets are no longer made. They have a special friction reducing coating which is supposed to increase velocity and decrease fouling and I think it works.

Since they're kind of an orphan item, I doubt many would want them unless they already had a load worked up for them and/or they were cheap. At least last time I was there, there were some XLC bullets at a local sporting goods store I go to that had been there probably 2 or 3 years; maybe more.

I think they were designated for the 500NE and would work in the normal rifle types for this cartridge ie falling block single shot or double rifle. The 500 Jeffery uses the same bullet diameter but this projectile may be too long for bolt guns, unless single loaded?

They work absolutely wonderfully in my 505 Gibbs that was built with a chrome lined .510 50BMG barrel.

That's not a standard Gibbs then - they normally use a 0.505"projectile.

Thanks for the help guys. These were unknowingly bought for me at what price i don't know yet. Someone trying to do me a favor didn't really work out that way. Once i find out what was paid for em i may sell em on here.

Biebs being first in line.
