Anyone on 24 reloading 350gr pills in their 416 ruger? If so have you chrony'd any?
Cheers
Yes. I use 75 gr. RL-15 and get 2550 fps. A really simple load.
Sounds wonderfully effective as well, getting 2450 with the 350 TSX's in my Taylor.

Thanks guys, halfway through my build at the moment. Can't wait!
gunner, 416 taylor, do tell.....
Hancock27, The 350 gr. Speer Mag Tip is a little lighter constructed, so it will achieve maximum penetration, right at 2400 fps. It has the Remington ( short ) nose profile, so it should also work fine in your 416 Ruger.
The 350g Woodleigh PPs are a great bullet, but 2400 fps is about all you want to load them to. Someone did a test shooting through plywood / waterjugs and the Woodleigh 350g at 2150 fps out penetrated a 300g TSX at 2550 fps. It expanded to double it's diameter too!
I've loaded the 350 TSX and RE15...
Below is the load I settled on, reproduce/use with caution
