I personally like Talley's and it wouldn't be a problem for me but a good friend wants something different but Talley's is about all we see out available. Does anyone know of any other options?
Dakota supplied the old Redfeild/Leupold style with their rifles. Not sure if they still make these.

I don't like using the scope as a torque wrench so switched to Talley's.

Conetrol used to make bases for Dakota's worth a call. Maybe S&K but don't know.

Give a call to Dakota they should know what's available now.

Most hunters that bring home "da meat" seem to use inexpensive Weaver bases and rings.

Thanks tejano, I forwarded both of those to him.And yes S&K does.

slavek, not sure what to say. While a lot of da meat has been brought home with what of you write, your universal assumption is not factual. I will however place it in the " world according to slavek archives" grin
Both companies still list them. New England Custom Guns can adapt the EAW claw mount for a really upscale mount, but I would probably go with the Talley's. Their express sights are tempting though. For a full blown custom the EAW with a peep sight insert and the trap pistol grip so there is a place to keep it would be the ultimate.
Get a price on the EAW pivot set-up before going further. Probably one of the best QD systems out there, but priced accordingly.
