I bought a 23" Silver German #4 for hunting Hogs to Buffalo that will take the recoil of a 375 Ruger. Leupold 1.5x-5x 20mm but thought there might be a better choice out there.

SS Rifle=Silver Scope so I'm not looking for those opinions.

Is there a tougher scope with maybe a 8x or 6x that would work better as this will be my Primary DGR?

I have good luck with Leupold VX3 3.6-8x36mm on my 375 Ruger Guide Gun. You can go through Leupold Custom shop to get the reticle in German #4 and probably get the silver to match. The new scopes are VX3i.

I have a Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36 matte Duplex on my Ruger Alaskan. A lot of eye relief!

I would say Leupold 1,75-6x32 would be about perfect scope for something larger with some longer reach potential.
