Not to go all boozy on you guys (given that this is a pretty serious foodie crowd hanging around this forum), but I got this off another site and wanted to share it. I didn't believe it--like many--but I turned some folks (myself included) into true believers.

BEER MARGARITAS

12 oz frozen limeade
12 oz water
12 oz tequila
12 oz beer

Pour all ingredients into pitcher. Stir until limeade is dissolved. Pour over rocks in salt-rimmed glasses. Enjoy.

Gawd, that sounds nasty! "Beer margaritas" reminds me of one of my mom's old expressions: "It's like putting sugar on chit; it ruins the sugar and doesn't help the chit."

Friends have used that recipe for many years....they do put a touch of triple sec in thiers.

Many folks mixed the Whiskey Sour with some beer also.

You're right. Triple Sec or Grand Marnier would help.

We call that a "redneck margarita" here in Alabama. We prefer corona as the beer here to add.
