Decided to pass on the outside-grilled stuff today - there's a storm coming in.

We settled on Cuban press sandwiches done with the panini press. I substituted homemade pastrami for the ham along with the roasted pork, cheese, dill pickles and mustard. Also making potato chips in the deep fryer and poured some Cakebread Cellars cab. Sort of early for the vino, but I suppose it could be considered brunch.

Started snowing at 0800 hours in DC so no Green Egg cooking today. Have a bourbon ham in the oven that will eventually become ham and bean soup. Mojo porkbutt in the slow cooker for Cuban style pork by Clemson --yes they play football there--game time.

Fresh Cod and Carolina shrimp for frying tomorrow during Skins victory over the Saints. Maybe some thin sliced fried sweet potato chips.

Mimosas and Bloody Marys here!!!!!!!!

BTW---PITT 14-7 over Cincy!
