Well,..actually 3 hrs, 2 hrs, 30 min as I was running out of time.

Last batch I did over July 4th was too smoky. I used Oak Charcoal as a base this time and added sticks of Silver Maple as needed. That helped cut back on the smokiness....

Think I'm getting it figured out Dave....

After 3 Hrs Smoke...

Oohh,..haven't done a Brisket yet, they scare me.

Afraid I'll end up with 5 lbs of dogfood...
Nah. Bad brisket still makes good tacos or hash. grin

Not going to tell how I know.
I'm digging it!

Sure looks good! Are those "grillin beans" on the plate?

Those are homemade baked beans using my Ma's recipe...
they look awesome.
Damn, now I'm feeling an urge to leave werk early. shocked
Pretty easy to make and beat the socks off of anything you find in a can...
Those ribs look really good.

Thanks for the recipe, I am attempting it now.
Gotta go to the store. Will be doing Deerwhacker444's mom's recipe tomorrow.
Now bear in mind, this is what I was raised on.

What I find to be appetizing, some might find repulsive.

I will not be offended...
Nope, you're wrong.

I cheated an took a sampler taste prior to baking.

I'm fairly certain that "Okie Mama beans" are my new favorite.

I'll be sliding these onto the grill in about 15 minutes when these guys go into the foil.

Be sure to heat em up covered, not much juice in there if you drained the beans before hand...

That grill is way too clean....
Oh hardly "clean".

I cleaned it with fire and a quick wire brush job. One of these days I may give it a true cleaning. Lol!

Beans are covered, I'll drop the ribs down on the low rack in the foil and put the beans up higher so I don't burn that sugar in the bottom of the pan.

Ribs ready to wrap now I think.

Thanks man,, I can read it fine.
There's just one of me to feed so I'll do a half batch and report back.
Haven't met a Legume I don't like though so I'm optimistic. grin
Thanks for putting that up Andrew. The pdf was pretty fuzzy for some unknown reason.
Andrew, I can barely tap buttons on my phone to tell you, on account of the gorged ness... Beans are most excellent!
Good, glad you liked em. Gotta be careful, they can make a meal all on their own.

That is the truth!
