Good looking chicken Srw.
This thread inspired me to do one last weekend. Turned out not to shabby. The rub I made was pretty good.

(roughly)
1 tablespoon dark chili powder
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon dehydrated onion (crushed)
1/2 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoons dried thyme
1 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder

Used one of the wives grapefruit shady beers and mesquite chips for smoke.

Made for good enchiladas from the leftovers later in the week.

Spritz them once in a while with a mixture of cider, little olive oil and some balsamic and watch the skin get a crunchy glaze.
SRW, thanks for the tip on the cukes in the top of the chimney. Had just been pinning the skin back on mine.
