Never tried that. I'm all ears. How do you like them? Shells on or off?

Yes it's the renagade, bought 1 bout 12 years ago and didn't take care of it, ie; rain etc and it went to Schitt. Treagers are pretty fool proof

Love my Traeger. Sent and forget it.The pellet hopper on mine was on the smallish side so I put an 8 X 24 piece of cheap stovepipe upright in the box and filled 'er up. Problem solved. SOB burns forever now. Great for long cooks like brisket and butts.Just make sure the heat baffle is nice and clean at the beginning of the cook and I'm golden.

8-10 hours at a pop and never check it except to brush or spray whatever is cooking. Pretty much kicked charcoal to the curb except for those times doing a rotisserie chicken on my kettle.

Denny.
