no pics but here is a recipe i made up for venison kabobs that will have people eating the stick.

1 1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 cup teryaki sauce
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 TB brown sugar
2 tsp ginger powder
2 tsp garlic powder

heat it to a simmer in a saucepan and cool it then marinate 1" square venison hindquarter chunks overnight in a plastic bag using half the sauce. stick the chunks on sticks with slab bacon, pineapple, mushrooms and bell peppers and cook over a campfire, basting with some of the sauce till the meat is medium rare. pull off the fire and hit them with the sauce again and let rest for about 10 minutes.

these things were the smash hit this weekend up camp. i could have done a whole hindquarter this way and it would have gone.

Thanks!

I like every one of those ingredients, and this recipe sounds great!

I've saved the recipe, and I'm going to try this with moose -- as soon as the snow melts.

Thanks, rem. I've got a chunk in the freezer I've been thinking about ways to cook up.
