Are 35mm cameras still in use or has everything gone digital..my father in law just gave me a really nice cannon with extra lenses.

You bet. They have only gotten better with age as film technology has moved forward. Granted there aren't many of us left, but it's a very viable medium. I generally shoot TX400 B&W and love the look of it.

What kind of Canon did you get?

It is a Rebel.

Congratulations! You'll really enjoy it. What lenses did you get with it (model numbers, etc.)?

Sorry I don't know squat about cameras but it does have a long lense and a standard lense.. Been working so many hrs haven't had time to even look at it.
Maybe this summer ill take it on a motorcycle trip and learn how to use it.

Becoming a rarer breed every day, but I will take my Nikon F and lenses to the grave with me.

The digitals have come a long way since their infancy though and are fine implelements too.

I still shoot B&W through my Nikon F100 every once in a while. I've thought about trying to find a nice F5, or maybe one of the older manual bodies... FE/FM series, maybe an F3...
