We got back from AkGrayling's basketball game last night and we had a nearly full moon with a nearly cloudless sky. The very thin cloud layer was the "filter" for the moon through the trees on the first shot and by the second shot, the moon was high enough to be out of the thin layer of clouds.

Here's one from today's newspaper. Wish I knew what size lens the photographer used. It's an awesome photo!

Somewhere in my moon collection I have some shots taken in Southern Africa. It is a real trip to see the moon upside down.

I always check the shots in "Africa" movies when they show a big moon to see if they actually are south of the equator.

I know, but it amuses me.

Riley,

I would like to see it too.

I just got a new iMac, and I am going to use the iPhoto application to organize my photographs. Hopefully, I will find the moon pix.
