Guys,
I'm in the market for a new pocket camera. Wife has a Nikon DSLR so we have that covered. This new camera will be for when she doesn't want to take the Nikon and for me to take to the woods.
We've had the Nikon Coolpix and a couple other small point-n-shoots that take AAs. Most of the time the battery compartment door ends up breaking or something small like that. I understand one can't expect much from a $50-$75 camera but we end up replacing often.
So I'm looking for something a little better built and, if possible, something that takes a rechargeable battery with a better battery compartment door/latch.
I see some "outdoor" or "sport" models and some waterproof ones but are they really better built? If so, I'll gladly entertain those.
Budget is $150-$200. Does this camera exist?
Any experience with the Fuji XP series?
Tell me your experiences.
Thanks in advance.
Joel up at Camera Land usually has some great deals on the Olympus outdoor cameras. I have had one of the Tough Series I got from him a couple years ago and love it. If you call him to get some pricing let him know you are part of the Campfire for special pricing.
I've always had the best luck with the small Sony point and shoot models. And I've taken some photos with them that are almost as good as my Proffesional series Nikon DSLR.
