Nice pics Eric. Looks like you had lots of company on a lazy day.
Eric,
Great pics of one of my favorite subject--BIRDS !!!
Could you identify them for me/us? I am not familiar with several of them.

Thanks!

From top to bottom:

Steller's Jay
Scrub Jay
Acorn Woodpecker
Oak Titmouse
Scrub Jay
Thanks for the identification. I kind of thought that might be a Stellar's Jay. That Woodpecker of course looked like a Woodpecker, but not the kind I am used to seeing. I know I have never seen a Titmouse or a Scrub Jay.
I really like the picture of the Scrub Jay on the barbed wire!!

Thanks,
Ken

I work with a lot of folks who neither hunt or really do much in the real outdoors.

It is a shame when I talk to them because they have no idea how great it is to "Just Be" in the out doors.

Critters and photography allow us to extend that enjoyment.

BUT . . .

There are those times we capture in our mind and heart that no mere photograph could ever begin to capture.

The 4th one looked sort of bovine to me. Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Yeah, I was going to ID them a flock of flightless moobirds.
