Does anyone have any experience with this camera. I am looking for something to carry occasionally instead of my SLR with its two lenses that cover approximately 28-600mm. The constant 2.8 lens looks tempting also.

What thinks you all?

I can speak about it's twin, the FZ-60, and I think it's a great bridge type camera. Panasonic, in case you didn't know, makes all the Leica digital camera's except the DSLR's that cost $20K and up. I believe those ultra expensive DSLR's are made in Germany.

If you need the zoom, that would be a good way to go.
Also, Canon just announced the SX60HS

I had a Panasonic FZ20 years ago, but found it too big for the bird vest and wanted a smaller pocket zoom. The image quality from the smaller sensor is not the same as the DX or FX dslr, but ok for the internet forums.
i still use my old fz20 alot . its been a great camers
