Here are a few images from a recent trip to St. Louis. I went to the Arch on the one night that week it wasn’t storming! There was a lot of renovations going on around it so I had to shoot without a lot around it. I shot both of these using the Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens on a Nikon D-800.

Cool images. I like my 24-70. The new 15-30 looks interesting and a worthy consideration against the Nikon 14-24. I have the Nikon 16-35, but it can get messy in the corners.

The 15-30mm is incredible. I will try and post an image of the Arch I did with it tonight when I get to my computer.

Here is a shot of the Arch with the Tamron 15-30mm standing about 30 feet or so away. I did no perspective control on the St. Louis skyline. The detail on the buildings is incredible. 30 seconds on a D-800.

I was hanging out with a couple of the Tamron Tech Reps when I got to shoot the lens and they were telling me that the same folks that make the Circular Polarizer for the Nikon lens are making an adaptation for the Tamron as well.
