We've had an unusual amount of hummingbird activity in the backyard this year. I have lots of fun photographing them. These shots were taken with my Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor 18-200 lens mostly set at 200mm.

Nice pics. Lots of Ruby Throats around here.

It was just the opposite here this year.

Late cold weather and I am afraid it may have caused a dieoff.

Of course the whole summer has been weird!

August temps have been comfortable . . .

That does not happen

I hit the humming bird lottery on my visit to Georgia in August

My wife was tinkering with our new camera this past week and caught these on our back patio.

Ours are almost exclusively Annas hummingbirds.

And they stay all winter. When it's freezing overnight, I take in the feeders. The little beggers are waiting in the predawn for me to hang their "breakfast" out.

Enjoy the photo.
