After 4 elk seasons using Costco Panasonic Lumix 20X
looking for more durable zoom camera. Actually have
had great service with two of these cameras but the
lengthy collapsing zooms only seem to last 2 years.
In addition the auto focus function is challenging.
I love the less than pound weight of Panasonic Lumix
but willing to pack in more weight for more durability
as long as the camera has powerful zoom. Thank You!

Ron had an inquiry about a similar type of camera in a thread below. I had a Panasonic FZ20 several years ago that I would pack when hunting. I do not know if I would want to pack a heavier dslr and long zoom due to weight and space. I suggested the review on DPReview for an overview of choices.
