Sooooo what is that in inches?
Glenn,

What is what in inches? You really need to understand exterior ballistics a bit, before embarking on the LR shooting game.

If concepts such as MOA, IPHY (aka SMOA), or MILs are foreign to you, then you got a bunch of studying to do.

Just to be helpful:

MOA (Minute of Angle): 1 MOA @ 100 yds equals 1.047". 1 MOA @ 700 equals 7.329".

IPHY: (inch per hundred yards) also called SMOA (Shooters MOA) is: 1 IPHY equals 1" @ 100 yds

MIL (Miliradian): 1 MIL equals 3.6" @ 100 yds

Scopes sold in the US have adjustments in either MOA, IPHY or MILS. Scopes sold in Europe or made for the European market adjust in CM (centimeters). Typically they adjust @ 1 CM per 100 meters.

Oddly enough, adjustments of 1 CM @ 100m is exactly the same as 0.1 MILS at 100 yds or 0.36" @ 100 yds. So a scope with metric adjustments can also be thought of as a MIL adjusting scope.

Good luck,

Bob
