Yesterday I ordered a new scope. The paralax is set for 110 yards. Before it is shipped I can have the paralax changed to a longer range. I shoot out to 500 yards, but usually under 400 yards.

At what range should I have the paralax set?

What power range is the scope? if no more than 10 power I would not be to concerned but if the power is higher, I would get an adjustable objective or side focus

I think I'd go for 200, maybe 250 based on your max.

It's a 3-12X.

If you set theparelax at longer range then 100 yard load developemnt will suffer and Visa a versa.

What brand is the scope?

I had a 3-12x50 S&B PMII fixed AO that was factory set at 250 meters.
It was fine at the longer ranges but if your planning on usuing it for load development at 100 yards.
It just plane sucked.You cant dial out the parrallax at 100 yards.Not good for load develpoment unless your planning on load development at longer ranges.
It was an excellant scope.

I think changing it to 200 or 250 yds would be fine as long as you do your load development at that range and not at 100.
