Has anyone used the heavier-jacketed 95 GR/243 cal VLD on light big game? I have a 6-250 that likes em over Hunter at 3120 FPs I'm just not sure if the yellow-labeled bullets are pre-beef up or not.

The other load I have for that rifle runs 90 NBTs at 3k so the VLDs would be a lot nicer in the wind.

Any insight would be appreciated. Just don't want to pin hole em!

You want the Hunting VLD, not the Target...

Send an email to Berger with lot number and they can tell you if they are pre-target jackets.

The 95 hunting VLD's I've used on 8-9 hogs(one was 375lbs), 8 point buck(160lbs). You want the orange box efw.
