Anyone have experience with 150 gr. Nosler Accubond LR bullets in the 7mm Rem Mag?

I got blems from SPS and am looking for high performance, accuracy loads, optimal jump, etc. These sleeker bullets, like VLD's, could be more COAL sensitive than std. AB's. Not sure about that.

Not sure on the LR types, but I have always found the regular AB like to kiss the lands. Berger VLD's usually like a bit of a jam. So I think it would be right there somewhere. Id start at a kiss and see what happens.

I'm going to try the 129 LRAB after my supply of 130 AB dries up for my 6,5x47 Lapua.

If you find some 129 ABLR's let me know where...

Itching to try some in my 26 Nosler.

Thats the other problem...

I'd be running 160 Matrix in a 26 Nos, but thats just me.

I have some Matrix bullet in line to try, just not 150's or 160's. You give up a lot of velocity in a 6.5, even a 26, going to the 160's. I was hoping 150's would be a compromise. Need to try both.

I'm having so much fun killing stuff with 120 E-Tips at 3,450, it's hard to move on... Maybe after the season closes.

Makes sense...I am looking at building a 28 Nos. I see there will be brass available soon. That sounds like a bunch of fun with 180 Boogers or 175 LRAB

I think either of those bullets would be interesting. From what I've read, ABLR's are slightly softer than std. AB's, designed to open at slower velocities. So, at closer ranges, they could be a bit more expansive than the regular AB, which should be OK on deer sized game.

From what I understand, the 7RM probably does better with the 168 VLD, maybe could use a bit more HP to take advantage of the 180 VLD. The 28 Nos should supply that extra punch.

I'll bet the 28 would smoke the 150 ABLR...

Thanks for the link.

Seems the ABLR opens very well, even at lower velocities. That's the kinda info I was looking for.

Should do well in the 7RM.

Have run some thru a 7mmWB throated short with RL25. No accuracy issues there

If we get a weather break the rest are headed down a 7x57 tube

I want to try some in my 7x57Ackley. I get 3050fps w/140gr Bt's. I would think I could get close to 3000fps. powdr

Finally ran the 7 LRM load with the 180 Berger Hybrid, 3060 5 shot average with Retumbo... No need for that fancy schmancy 28 Nosler laugh

I just tried some for the first time a couple of weeks ago in the Montana 7WSM I picked up off the classifieds. Showing potential for excellent accuracy around 3150fps (using Reloder 17, ~0.030" jump). Will do some playing with jump in another range session or two.
