I picked up my second long range rig in a week. Its a KRG chassis with remington 700 in 260 remington. It came with dies but I’d like to get a set of custom competition dies. Any good load recipes you guys have for the 260 would be appreciated.

Remington 700 action, blueprinted
LIghtweight firing pin and heavy duty firing pin spring
KRG Xray chassis
22” Shilen 1-8 4 groove stainless barrel threaded with cap
Jard model H trigger set to 25 ounces
AIC magazine
nightforce 20 moa rail, burris tactical rings
trijicon 5-20x50 mil dot accupoint

There are a couple things I would like to do to it. oversized bolt knob, maybe flute the bolt, needs a bipod and rear monopod.

It is a lot lighter than you would expect, It came with a couple hundred 123gr Amax but I woudl like to try out some heavy bullets. If the 129gr Nolser LR accubond shoots well I might give it a go hunting this fall.

Skip right to the Scenar, over a dose of H4831sc. You'll thank me later.

That looks like a killer load Kaiser! What grain scenar was that shot with? I didn’t have very much 4831sc but I have an abundance of H414. I loaded some up just so I could get a few rounds down range tomorrow. The rifle came with a couple boxes of 123 amax and two boxes of 140gr NBT.
Lower rings would be top on my list.

Kaiser took the words right out of my mouth. Mine likes the 123 and 48 grains of H4831sc. That's with a TULA magnum primer.

That is the 139. The 136s are on deck when my supply of 139s run out.

Concur. Think Seekins....

260 in the middle, 308 on top, 223 bottom. The 260 and 223 have the same optic setup - Leupold 4x5x14LR in Seekins rings. Someday, the 308 will also.

Gotta love it.

I was able to pick up a set of IOR Vtac medium rings from a buddy of mine. These are a lot better rings, I picked up a couple more pounds of H4350 and ordered 100 lapua brass. Anyone having any luck with the berger 140 vld hunter bullets? At .612 BC it is very impressive looking.

Much better :-)
Scenars can make your load development very short I have always found them to be easy to tune and they are about the most uniform mas-produced bullet made and stand up well to some handmade custom bullets. I would start with the 136 Scenar L and I love H4831SC.

I am chambering up a 260 for my AR10 in a few weeks.
Showing some real promise with 123 amax

5 shots at 175 yards

Kaiser, would you be nice enough to share with me/us the brand/make//style of the three (3) stocks in the single picture. I like those stocks a lot, especially the bottom two 2....Thanks very much.....
