Anyone have any direct experience between the two, preferred .284 caliber?

Been loading the 180 Hybrid in my 7 LRM. It killed three animals with fairly spastic results. First buck was hit in the 5th rib, neck, and perfect 1/4ing away shot before he died (coues deer, with not much damage). Second was hit 1/4ing away in the right rear femur, massive damage. 3rd was a javelina with a near perfect shot at about 60 yards with near ideal results.

I shoot the 180 hunting a little over 3100. I have a couple boxes of hybrids but have not tried them yet. The 180s with RL25 in my rifle (7-300win) is an awesome combo.

I have shot mule deer, desert sheep, black bear, and cow elk with the load in the last three seasons; 320 yards to 830 yards.

Ultimately, I do not think terminal performance between the two would be the deciding factor in which to hunt with. If curious try both and go with the load/bullet combo that shoots best at long range with the velocity you want (low ES - least vertical stringing).

Both bullets are going to quickly take care of whatever creature you are shooting.
