I spoke to Virginia and she recommended a Loren Peter in Vancouver WA. His daughter shoots BR (I think that is what she said). I guess Dan won't put a smith on there list unless he has seen there work and she said he is as good or better than Jim Cloward or Rick Fuedenberg (SP?).

Building a midlin weight 25-06....

Cloward is pretty much retired and Freudenberg stays plenty busy. If Loren Peter has cycles to spare I'd reserve a slot.

Loren only 'smiths during the winter so I got to find a donor....
I hate to part out my only LA, it's a plain -06 but shoots real-real well.

Loren Peter was recomended to me by SU35 here on the board. I haven't contacted him about the project I want done yet. Sounds like I better if I want it anytime this next spring.

Daveh, you may want to check with Midway for an action. I think they still have some long 308 bolt face left....
