Hi,
Is it feasible to chamber an 84L in a short fat chambering like a .284 win or 6.5-284? Or would I need the 8400 series action that is larger to handle the wsm cartridges? Thanks for the guidance.

The 84L is a long action gun, if what you’re planning is feasible would probably have to use an 84M.

I have an 84M chambered in 6-284 but was warned that I would certainly shoot my eye out or blow myself up. Shoots great and functions as it should. A larger caliber ( Longer bullets ) would be problematic in the M. Certainly can't say about your idea on the L. Never even held one. in my hands
