I was wondering about this. I'm sooo used to putting a light coat of oil on my rifles, and with cerakote I would guess it's not necessary, but is there any harm to it? I'd like to keep it looking good.

no harm to it but no point to it....Cerekote is a ceramic coating that will protect the metal from bout anything short of a grinder...

Oil it down if you like, it won't hurt a thing. Rich-ens the color a little too.

I brush my rifle off with a clean paint brush and them spray a little of Rem oil on a rag and wipe them down before I put them away.

I use just a little Rem oil on a rag and wipe the ceraote clean plus I make sure to get all the gun solvent off....
