Has anyone necked down the 6.8 spc to 6.5 or other cal.

Almost that identical thing was done in the 1940's long before there was a 6.8 SPC.

The 6mm WOA is a necked down 6.8 spc. It has a small but growing following with AR fans.

Not for me so far,but in the future maybe 25cal or 6.5.
The pressures will be just a little hotter than what the factory loads for.
