I had Dallas (waknstak, here on the fire) build this for me a few months ago and it has taken me forever to get it posted up on here. I just wanna show off how good his work is and tell him thanks for helping me with this one. It was my first build and he was very helpful. I would tell him what I was thinking and he would show me pics of my options. If someone is looking for a great smith to build their rifle I would highly recommend contacting Dallas and talking with him. I do wanna say that it shoots as good as it looks but unfortunately I don't have any pics of targets. But I will get some up one of these days. Here's some pics and if anyone wants his info PM me and I would be happy to share it with you.

I am getting ready to send him the parts for my 260 build now. Hopefully they will go out at the beginning of this week. I can't wait to see the next one!!

Nice rifle reno....LR written all over it!

Same blueprint for your 260?
No the 260 is gonna be setup as a hunting rifle.

Stiller action w/ Stiller DBM
Bartlein #4 8.5tw fluted and finished at 24"
Manners EH-3
Jewel trigger
Color scheme still undecided.

Reno
Sounds like another good build...
What are the particulars on the 6.5-284?

X-VERMINATOR
Rem 700 LA trued and lapped
Bartlein 8tw throated for 140 Bergers
Defensive Edge brake
Badger DBM
Manners T-3 stock cerakoted to match metal by Dallas
Jewel trigger
Cerakoted tungsten by Dallas
NF base and rings
NF 5.5-22x50 HS/ZS with MOAR reticle

It is a sweet rifle and I love to shoot it. I haven't been able to get it out as much as I had hoped but I take it out when I can. I wanted something for LR steel banging and that is exactly what he made me.

Reno
Like the look of that titanium rifle on his site too. Seems very reasonably priced.
He does excellent work. He puts together some amazingly accurate rifles too.

Reno
Is that their titanium action or a Remington Ti ?
One of the nicest I've seen lately. Well done!

X-VERMINATOR
WOW OH WOW. Great gun build.
Dallas is great to work with!! My 260 will not be my last build with him. He treats guys right and has always gotten right back to me when I email him. Sometimes I have to wonder if he even sleeps. Lol. I just wanted to show his work incase anyone is looking for a great smith who can do dang near anything he wants in his shop.

Reno
Reno,

Exactly!!!

Reno
Reno, it was a joy building this beautiful rifle for you. You gave me a want to do list for this build and i think we nailed it. Pics don't do this rifle justice it is absolutely stunning in person and an absolute dream to shoot. That two port brake on tis 6.5-284 makes it seem as if nothing happens when the rifle is touched off. It is definitely a fine rifle and i am glad your enjoying it. Oh and i do sleep............ A little!!!!!

Dallas
Well Dallas I'm glad to hear you do get some sleep. Lol.

I love the rifle and I can't wait to see the 260 you are building for me. You can put some pics up in this thread if you want. It's gonna be my one and done whitetail rifle. Lol. Yeah right!!! I'm already thinking about another.

Reno
Sharp rig, Reno.
How do you like that stock and the heavy grip or stippling?
Palm swell?

Jason
Jason,

I really like it a lot. It fits me very well and is easy to get behind. I also have a couple of Manners T5-A stocks and they work very nice too. I am a huge Manners fan and the EH-3 on my 260 will be my 4th. I am sold on them over McMillan every time. And, I've heard their customer service is top notch. I have not had to use it, but, I have no doubt they would stand behind it 100% if I did.

Reno
Very, very nice Reno. Look forward to seeing the .260 when finished. I'm sworn off anymore builds, but may have to give Dallas a whirl when, I mean IF, my mind gets changed grin
Reno,

Your 260 is gonna be a perfect little hunting rifle. and im looking forward to getting ideas on your next custom. smile Manners stocks are my got too stocks and there customer service is second to none, they aim to please thats for sure. The manners T stock is probably the best tac/hunting stock you can get and has plenty of options for tac and hunting use.

Dallas
I like that Tungsten Cerakote!
Dallas I'm looking forward to trying the 260 out. It is gonna be sweet.

Tkinak the tungsten looks great. I will use the color again.

Reno
tungsten is one of my favorites.
