Modified another Winchester Extreme Weather stock for my Marlin X rifle in 260 Rem. Duracoated action and barrel with Tactical Black mixed with Gray Wolf. Talley LW 30mm rings and Vortex HS 4-16x44 30mm scope. Finished with a PTG aluminum Oberndorf trigger guard. Barrel is a Criterion 24" 260 Rem with Match chamber, 1:8 twist heavy sporter.

Dewd so cool! Love this idea!

Thanks EFW. Winchester Extreme Weather factory stock or a B&C stock.

Can you explain what mods you had to do with the stock? Is that a Savage pre fit or Remmy?

I had to cut/remove about a 1/4" of material in front of recoil lug. Address the stock for the barrel nut with dremel, taking your time to clearance. Also need to clearance trigger area for clearance. Then stress free bed the complete action with barrel using Devcon, or you favorite compound. That's pretty much it.

Oh, you may have to address the magazine a little, by removing a little material so the bottom metal closes. Now you have a super light weight strong stock, with bottom metal. Makes a world of difference in weight and accuracy.

Update on load data:

My 130 vld is getting low, so I wanted to try some Hybrids. Loaded up some 140 Hybrids in Lapua brass, H4831SC, Wolf LR primer, .016" OTL. COAL is 2.960"

46.2 to 46.8 all shoot same poi at 340 yards. So I narrowed it down to 46.4 to 46.6. 46.4 gave 11ES, 46.5 gave 6 ES, and 46.6 gave 9 ES. The 46.6gr target got lost.

Loaded up 5 rounds of each .1gr to see results. Went with 46.5 as my load with great ES. Check to see if it would repeat, and it did even thought is was a little windy 6 mph. 6 shots gave me 11 ES / 4 SD and avg speed of 2808 fps. So far it has been test to 700 yards, and 1/2 moa groups.

Thanks...

My 260 is a long action, so issues with COL. They mag feed just fine.
