I am thinking of having some crf m70 bolts fluted and skeletonized has anyone had this done. Looking for pics I no it won't save more then a couple ounces.
This is the bolt from my 375 h&h lightweight built by extreme rifle works

Nice have you seen a twisted one?
I know I saw a pic some time ago here and I think it was done by Kampfeld. I tried a search for the pic yesterday, but I don't believe the topic header was fluted mod 70 bolts, so I couldn't locate it. Looked a little strange on a bolt with a full length extractor.

Spoke to soon. I used a custom 24HourCampfire search and found it.

I'd like to see/hear a little more about this rifle if you would be so kind.
It was a winchester classic 375h&h that I had bobbed to 20" and had extreme rifle works do a complete light weight conversion. Turned the barrel down to minimum diameter, skeletonized the action, fluted the bolt. MPI ultra light mountain rifle stock. Weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces with scope removed. 7.5 scoped. Hadly talley pop up peep bases and tritium front bead.

It was one sweet rifle! One of several custom m70s I had to sell to pay hospital bills when I had my daughter.

That twist is exactly what I want. The .375 looks perfect in carry weight and aesthetics.
Someone has pics.
