I've got a new build from Jon Beanland in 6.5 SAUM. I asked Jon to use his "no turn" reamer which has a .298 neck diameter. What is my best route to prep 7mm SAUM brass? Buy a full length 6.5 x 300 saum die to resize and roll?
Sounds nice.

Pictures?

Maybe Pat or others using this round will answer.

You'll need a .311 bushing if you use .300 SAUM brass to start the neck(first step), then size again with a .295. If you're using 7 SAUM brass, neck it down first with a .295, then run it through a .264 diameter expander mandrel. This step will get you the correct neck tension, and get you better run out. Trim to 2.025" de-burr, chamfer, load and shoot.

.300 SAUM brass will finish at 2.010, so you won't have to trim for quite a few firings.
