I've been doing some research on building a custom hunting rifle. I've considered blueprinting a remington 700 but I found that ptg makes an action that is already blueprinted and uses their parts, at least that's my understanding of it. Does anyone know anything about these actions? Kind of seems to fall somewhere between a blueprinted 700 and an all out custom action.

PTG is using a standard Remington receiver, working it over and adding their bolt. They do an excellent job on action. Worth every penny.

Interesting.....

Worth every penny if you can get one! I've had one on order for months and they are still on backorder from Remington! If you can wait a long time go for it. Just remember they have a 20% cancellation fee if you get tired of waiting.

All action kits have a varying ship time from 1 to 12 weeks, no statuses will be done on these items until the 12 week period has expired and a valid FFL is on file.

This is where the Circus gets interesting. Shet in one hand wish in another and see what has more weight.

I have had a rem 783 bolt head on order with them since sept of last year. I called in February and the office was "shocked" that it had not been made yet. Still waiting. I wonder why it takes so long.
