Check out the Custom Corner by Stan Trzoniec in the January RIFLE magazine and behold the beauty of the Roger Ferrell restored Farquharson rifle!

To say it is drool material doesn't do it justice.

I saw this rifle in Roger's shop when it was in pieces and he was sculpting the stocks he is truly an artist.

Wow +P

Hi Mike. Have you seen Roger lately? I haven't seen him or talked to him for a few years now. He did work on a few of my rifles and built one for me. I hope he's doing well. He is an artist and a fine gentleman to boot.

I saw that gun at DSC this year- gorgeous.
David I have not seen him since last year he d&t'd a Remington 541-X for me, that is when he was making the stock for this rifle and the metal was stil in the white.

I have had 2-3 odd things for him to work on for me he is a neat fellow.

There's no doubt about that Mike. I have tons of respect for him. He can almost come across as not being very personable at first. But after you talk to him for a little while, he's a really nice fellow. We talked at length about a project we were going to do on a Mexican Mauser action. I had it shipped to him, and he inspected it. And the economy tanked. That one is gonna be on the shelf a little longer unfortunately, but I'd love to have Roger build it.

I guess I need to buy a rifle to have him do a trigger job on or something. Some reason to get back into his basement! LOL
