Goal - a sub 10lb 22" 6.5 creed, hunter/light tactical long range
Stock - leaning towards a manners eh1 with a sendero inlet( hope to find something on the shelf )

Thinking about a name brand cut rifle that will be spiral fluted with one of these,
Sendero
2b
3b
Light Palma

Which would fill the barrel channel fairly good and not be nose heavy?

I only have personal experience with a Brux 3 fluted and a Bartlein light Palma.

Most interested in he 2 and 3 b

Thanks ahead of time

I'd roll with a stainless Krieger in a #3 or #4 contour, 4 groove barrel.

Not sure about spiral fluting a barrel of a smaller contour...you would have to discuss that with your gunsmith or Karl of Kampfeld Customs. It can be done but not sure how deep the flutes could be cut?? (Heavier barrel contours are no problem)

Given that your stock of choice only weighs about 26-28oz, balance is going to depend largely on what is sitting at the middle of your rifle. Action choice, bottom metal, optics, mounting setup..... all are going to matter. Even so, there won't be much ballast at the back end with that stock. Much meat in that barrel is going to make things nose-heavy.
The barrel will be sent out for fluting. I'm still in planning stages so option are good. It will be fluted no matter what
Hopefully this will be a little helpful:

Trued Remington 700 SA, Cerakoted black, Brux 23" Remington Mag contour dup, 6.5CM, McMillan Edge ADL, Talley lightweights, SWFA SS 3-9x42.

Balances nicely just in front of front action screw:

I'm having a Creedmoor built with a Kreiger #4. Should be ready in a few weeks. This contour was recommended as an all purpose hunting, varmint, plinking barrel. I'll post pics after I receive if you haven't made your mind up. As stated above I think the #3 or #4 may be the smallest that you can flute-not 100% sure.

What's the total weight on that bad boy?
8.46 pounds (by my cheapo scale) as it sits.

Sub-10lbs is really not a very tall order for an easy-shooting short-action bolt gun. I just put my latest 6.5x47L build on a scale. It consists of a 700SA with factory BDL bottom metal, a 22.5" Rem Varmint contour Rock Creek barrel, a factory VLS take-off stock, Talley LW mounts, and a Leupold 1" 3.5-10x40 Tactical with capped turrets. It weighs 10lbs 2oz and balances well. The stock goes about 2 3/4lbs and that heavy laminate butt balances out the Rem Varm barrel. It's fairly neutral in balance, being just a bit heavier on the nose. Heavy flutes and a standard-fill McMillan or Manners stock would get it down closer to 9lbs and likely still balance okay.

If your going to flute go Bartlein #3!

The ones that end with b are obviously Bartlein contours and since they've got that goofy numbering system that's different than everyone else you have to know what they represent.

Their #2b is about like everyone else's #3
Their #3 is about like everyone else's #4
Their #3b is about like everyone else's #5

10 lbs with a short action and a 22" fluted barrel is a lot to work with. I'd think you could stay under that with a sendero contour, especially considering you want to use a stock inletted for that already. Getting smaller from that the next option would be the #3b.

I've got a couple of Brux's coming in a SS, #2 contour with an interrupted flute. 6.5 caliber. One will be a .260 and the other a Creed. Brux uses the same contour as Krieger...setting them up for a lighter hunting application. Both will have the Mc Mountaineer stock and Bighorn actions.
I have a 3 Brux interrupted flute and it is my favorite. I have a friend wanting to go a little heavier contour.

Besides liking at the chart , how is a Brux 3 vs a Bartlein 3 compare
?

I believe Bartlein is the first choice

I will add that a factory 700 Sendero/Rem Varm contour typically has 3/4" of straight shank before making the first taper. I had LRI install my barrel on that VLS clone with a .750" shank so it could drop into most stocks cut for a Rem Varm or Sendero contour. Bear that in mind when seeing which lesser contours will drop into a stock inletted for the Sendero. A lesser contour with a 2" shank may require extra fitting at the back and have a considerable gap though front and midsection of the forend. Do a little math before ordering and you can rest easier.

A Bartlein #3 will compare to a Brux or Krieger #4 contour....Bartlein barrels run big!!
Like 300MAG said Bartlein contours run bigger than most everyone else. I've posted this picture before and not sure its helpful since you can't really see that great a detail but here is a factory Remy sporter on left, Bart 2B and right is a Brux #3. All are finished @ 22.5" As you can see the Bartlein 2b and the Brux #3 are almost the same at the muzzle.
