A proper .270 build - 04/05/16
With already having a couple nice wood stocked pre 64 M70 .270 fwts. I thought I'd use a spare action to build one in a synthetic stock.
Started with a mid 50's M70 fwt. action, found a krieger fwt contour barrel on their site and then ordered up a mcm compact edge (olive/black speckle) a williams 1pcs. BM unit and talley barrel band.
Redneck did the barrel/chamber/trigger work (barrel @23"), I mounted the barrel band, then sent off the barreled action/BM to Eddie for cerakote titanium and got it back just in time for me to bed the stock, mount a swaro Z3 3-9x42 (w/4A) in some talley 1pcs. As expected it's grouping very well with my normal load of H4831/130 TTSX's.
As shown it weighs 7 lbs 11 oz. and is a joy to handle.
