I'm leaning toward Gary Goudy, unless I can talk Jerry Fisher into taking the job.

.280 is my favorite caliber, killed my best whitetail to date with the ".270 improved". wink
I'd talk to James Anderson
A most excellent purchase--for little more than the value of the parts.

I might be tempted to go to the gunmakers guild meeting this winter and handle a number of stocks from different makers. It is so subjective.
I'd send it to Gene and put it in a Legend. smile
Utah - I did exactly that a few years back and took notes. I'll need to dig those out.

Bob - Have a classic FW in .280 stocked in a Hill Country "Bridges" Edge, my main whitetail rifle.

TC - great suggestion!
I guess you want wood.... smile

Anderson stuff is beautiful!
Jerry indicated that he was only doing a couple a year.
I've heard that as well Butch.

Any idea what he likes to drink? Would a bottle of 30 y/o Scotch help? smile
Somewhere I have pictures of a stock done by Gene Simillion that is top shelf. A beautiful rifle.

Folks don't talk much about it but his wood stocks are first class.
Sure don't know about his drinking preference. Simillion does nice work.
Gene would be my pick. Great guy to boot too.
No matter who does it... It will turn out great I am sure. Nice grab Doug! Wish I would have seen it first! grin
Spoke with Gary Goudy this afternoon. He has agreed to take this on.
You made a good choice.
Wow man fantastic catch there I am sure Gary will set you up beautifully!

I hope you're able to post up pics w/ animals!
