Not a lot of taper........... grin
A Bartlein #3b is a pretty stout barrel. I spoke to a gunsmith today that was putting one into a McM Hunter. That is close to pushing it.
I'm thinking a 3b in a Manners SL, threaded for suppressor...
It's the same as most other maker's #5. It's a chunk
Skane.....don't think you'd like the Bartlein 3B...as stated above, its a "sturdy" barrel contour.

Brux #5 in a Classic......

And what if I'm looking for a sturdy contour? smile
Al,
Looks like no problemo with the #5 in a classic.

Not trying to jack the OPs thread, but does anyone have a pic of a #4 Brux in a MCM Hunter?

SKane,
Some are speculating a 3B may be heavier than you like, I have a Bartlein 2B and sometimes wish it was a little lighter and better handling. Of course you know what your doing and what purpose you want it for.
My Bartlein preference would be their #19 which is a match for the Rem. Mag contour which is my favorite contour for hunting.
Good luck with your choice and build,
Gentlemen, thank you for the comments.

I'm aware the Bartlein 3B is essentially other maker's #5.
Was just wanting to confirm via visuals.

thx!
Scott,
If you need to know... A Brux #5 fits a stock inlet for a Rem Varmint pretty well.

Grand, nice rifle what cartridge and weight?
Thanks,.260 Rem, 23in bbl, Definance with guardian mag cut, alloy shroud, Edge classic by Beanland. Weights 8.5 lbs empty sans bipod.
Grand nice blueprint.....Thanks
Thanks. I sent Beanland a standard #3. John recommended a course correction and sent it to Kampfeld for fluting after it was chambered and installed. Greatly improved the balance.
