I'm want a new barrel for my TC Contender in 6mm and saw that EABCO has their 6BRM cartridge based off of the 30-30 win case, similar to other 6mm/30-30 wildcats( my goal is to hit 2800 fps with 105gr. Berger out of a 22" barrel on the TC).

Since EABCO has the barrels for their version, plus dies and cases, this would probably be the quickest/easiest way to go. However they claim they use a "secret" method for forming their cases, making it sound as though their cases are the only way to go for their cartridge. Being a cheap bast@rd I'm thinking I can do better than a over $buck per case by forming my own out of standard 30-30 cases I already have. I've also read on the net that their cases are not of the best quality and the need to reform before fire forming may be necessary.

Anyone here shoot this round or have advice as to how I might get to my 105 @ 2800 goal?

Thanks for looking,

SBTCO
It's been a number of years since I had a TC Contender but If I were looking now, I'd look for a standard 6mmBR barrel, the brass is very good.

Colodog,
Thanks for the post, although I think the 6BR has a .473 case head dimension so works in an Encore but is too large for my TC contender.
Take a look at SSK. Some of their rounds are (were) based on the very strong .225 case, but I don't know if that brass is even still available. They know how to stuff Contenders pretty full.
