Look's like my new project build is soon to take off. Might ship in time for christmas or there abouts. Looking forward to getting it back so I can jump into load development. The anticipation is killing me.

If his past work is any indication, it will be a beautiful piece of work. Can't wait.
Eddie does some damn nice work. Let's hear the specifics...
Sent Eddie a box of parts. For a complete build.

Action work Will consist of

Remington SS bare bones action single point blue printed. One of Eddies Tactical knobs installed. Side Bolt Release installed. Install a timney trigger set at 2 pounds.

Install Krieger 7mm M24 contour Barrel 9 twist 4 groove. Finished at 26 inches. Target crown. Chambered for the 280 ackley imp.

Barreld action pillar bedded into a cerkoated Manners T3 stock. Stock finished in a three color GAP cammo. O.D. Green, Black, Tan.

Install willams steel bottom metal.

Bed Nightforce steel 20 MOA rails to action if needed.

Cerkote all metal graphite black including rails, nightforce rings, and bottom metal.

All work done by Eddie Fosnaugh.

It will wear a Nightforce 5-25×56 ATACR scope.

Sure Im missing something, but at any rate, should be a looker and shooter. Can't wait.
Sounds damn nice. I'll bet it will be a tack driver too, from the sounds of it.. Finish weight going to be around 9.5 pounds or a shade more??
Congrats. That's very similar to the .280AI I had Kampfeld build for me. Mine has an A5 stock (GAP camo), a Broughton barrel (26" M24), and OD green cerekote. But a very similar approach.
Good choice to go with Eddie. Just got a beautiful 308win back from him, very sweet/accurate.

Not sure what the weight will be. Heavier than your average sporter guaranteed. I hunt a lot from an elivated covered blind. Wont have to carry it much. Will ride in on a four wheeler.

For the style of hunting I do, I like more weigt than most. Little easier for me to get a more steady aim supported.

I don't mind heavier rifles either. Yours sounds like a dandy for sure.

The more I talk to Eddie about this build, the more pumped I get. You can sure tell he pays attention to all the little details.

He takes his craft seriously.

Great guy to work with and does excellent work.
That's a 6 pound barrel and a 2 1/4 pound scope. I think 9.5 pounds is way back in the rear view mirror.

With a M24 contour at 26" expect the total weight with scope to be north of 13 lbs. If you have him flute the barrel you can save about 8-10 ounces.
Im not to worried about the weight. Like I said, with the type of hunting we do, that wont be much of an issue.

For the places I need a lighter stick, i have that covered. I have a couple places I hunt where shots can be as long as 800 yards. Should fit that purpose just fine.

Other places I hunt the 30-06 I like to tote works like a champ.
Got a call from him last night too. Said mines coming home end of the week.
Sent him a barreled action consisting of an older 700 with a rock #3,
8 twist, fluted, 24" chambered .243.
He's opening up the barrel channel and bedding it into a McMillan classic in arctic camo (white, Lt. Gray, dk. Gray and black) with seekins DBM. Metal cerakoted in sniper gray. Mine was just cosmetic work, but can't wait to get it back.
Post pictures when you get it. Sounds like it will be real nice.
