I shot this one Tuesday morning near the Tar River in Edgecombe County NC. Best bird I've taken and a nice Tom for this area: 20 lbs., 2 oz., 1-1/4" spurs, longest intact hair on beard 12-3/4" (most are 11") - real thick beard. Shot at 38 yards - I had to low crawl 12 yards to set up on where he was strutting in a cutover. Winchester M1300 12 gauge pump (gift from my Dad several years ago) equipped with a Pure Gold .670 tube and Hevi-Shot Magnum Blends.
