Anybody have any they don't need? I'm not sure what is going to happen but California is and has gone to no lead and as these are bismuth they might be legal to use on Turkey's. I know it sucks but I have a Daughter and two Granddaughters that love to hunt so I am looking for some of these in two and three quarters and three inch. I will buy any amounts. Just trying to make sure we have good shells for the future.
Thanks
Dan

found some. #4's. Prefer 5's but will take what I can get. Expensive, yes, but worth it to be able to keep hunting in the lead free zones.

I'm facing the same issue, but I'd rather shell out a bit more for a load I can still buy and pick my shot size. Once I get the gun patterned and sighted in I want to be able to buy as much of that load as I want.

Maybe Winchester will bring the Supreme Elite load back for the California market.

I can understand their problem supplying us with lead free Turkey shells. It is a very small market and lets face it, how many shots do we take a year. Now, one the other hand, if they want to be our Heroes they will come back with them I hope. Here again, I'm like you as I don't mind paying the higher price as I don't use that many shells a year. On the other hand, I am supplying my Daughter and Granddaughters with shells so it can get a little expensive.
You fellas never heard of Federal Heavyweight #7s? Maybe even Hevi-13 #7s? If you load your own, also look up Tungsten Super Shot.

Enlighten me, I don't reload anymore and from what I understand Tungsten Super Shot is discontinued. I'm looking for loaded lead free Turkey loads. Checking with California Fish and Wildlife coated lead is also not legal.
Briefly, TSS is available, but not in a loaded shell. Hevi13 #7s approximate lead #6. Heavyweight #7s approximate lead fives. If you can stand a full house 12ga load Hevi 7s are good, but you need a choke. If you are interested in not using a special choke, using a light 12ga load or going down to 20ga, you want Federal Heavyweight 7s.

I used to use a 3 1/2" 12ga with lead 6s. Inside forty yards, my 20ga with Heavyweight 7s works just as well. I mean it just poleaxes them. Having killed three of my last four with the 20, I don't even own a 3 1/2" gun anymore.
Also, if cost is a concern, keep an eye out late winter for the rebates to start. You look for a sale, use the rebate and the $$$ shells are only $.

Thanks, the 20 gauge loads look pretty good, not cheap but you don't use that many a year. Great Granddaughter is going to use a Rem youth 870.

For 20 gauge the Fed HW #7 is where it's at.
