All good fellas, no news is good news eh?. One thing that covid has helped with over here not sure about US or NZ is that many initial appointments and follows ups are done by tele health uses the internet which is great when return journey is 10 hours. So call booked for next week to work when they do the surgery, I will be glad to get it done pain & bleeding not much fun

Treatment options are many and amazing.
Hang in there!
Prayers sent for your recovery.
Keep a positive attitude.
We are with you. Hang in there.
I'm not a praying kind of guy, but I'll keep you in my thoughts, Johno.
As someone who endured intestinal surgery recently, I'm here to tell you the advances they've made in those surgery protocols is absolutely amazing. Even the technology available a mere ten years ago is Medieval in comparison to today's.
Best of luck to you Johno. I'll be thinking of you.
Thank you gentleman, looks like it was found early so i'm keeping positive will let you know when I head to the chop shop
Johno
prayers for you my friend stay positive

Prayers for complete recovery. He who created you can heal you!
Good luck Johno.
My grandmother had the very same surgery about 30 years ago when she was in her mid 70's. She lived to be 91.
Just sayin...
Best wishes from PA Johno
Will be praying for you.
By his stripes we are healed …. Isaiah 53
Many thanks friends
Purri good to see you here brother its a fine place to sit around the fire and talk
Johno
I wish you the best. I’ve been dealing with fallout from a stroke for the last 6 months. It’s easy to get depressed over the long term. Hopefully family and friends will keep you upbeat. Stay busy, the mind is a terrible thing when not occupied.
Thanks mate, the mental side of it hit me like an Ali left hook just came out of nowhere whilst awaiting the CT scan results, with the back up in hospital waiting time it two weeks before the scans were even read. I am doing ok at the moment no doubt old Ali will come out swinging a few days before surgery
Johno
Johno, Hang in there ,you aussies are known for being tough ! Don
Thanks Don, tough???? soft as butter mate lol
Johno
Thanks Don, tough???? soft as butter mate lol
Johno
I was going to say something like that but didn’t want to hurt your feelings. Koala bears do look kind of cuddly. Although I don’t know how they pull a trigger with 6 thumbs.
Keep hanging tough, Johno! Just like the Diggers at Tobruk held Rommel at bay against all odds, and the Aussies on the Kokoda Trail kept the Japs away from Port Moresby, y'all got that "certain something"!!
Joe, the soft as butter is fine but when you call a Koala a bear well them's fighting words mate, Koala is a Marsupial (wink)
Gary we have fixed bayonets and stand ready to charge to the surgical ward next Tuesday
Thanks friends
Johno

Did you find me that 58-59 Chrysler Ute yet. I've got a line on an old Studebaker.
Well Joe my football side is in moth balls after falling at the last hurdle so out of curiosity I will search some sites here tomorrow. Just spent the day at hospital with doc's & anesthetist all good to go Tuesday morning
Johno

Thanks for all the support fellas
Johno
Tell her your Savage family needs/wants updates.
You will be a better man once it's completed. Good luck mate.
Johno I just head about this. Prayers sent from Michigan. Good luck!!!!!
6 hours of surgery 14" bowel removed I was very ill for first 24 hours bad reaction to morphine, doing better now now just the wait on pathology will be in hospital another wek at least
Johno
Hang in there. Thanks for the update.
Glad to hear you got through the surgery. Hoping everything else is easier!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery johno
Good news, keep 'er going mate!!
Hopefully, the worst is behind you.
Best wishes for a quick recovery.
Back home, feels good to be on my own dung hill. Tired a fair amount of pain and now the big wait to see if we had a win wont know for another week or so but surgery went well they will not commit more than than that
Johno
Well, that's a good start. Still sending prayers. Hope you don't get any Monsoons and was that dung hill away.
One step at a time, and being home is a good step! No more nurses waking you up all night to take vitals. Hate that.
Joe I some times forget how the difference in speech between out two countries even though we both speak English
Dung Hill = an area where rabbits go to lay their little nuggets, home territory as it were. I don't know if Jack Rabbits do that but the European Rabbit which we have like to make a "poop hill" as it were
That first 24 hours or so after surgery Rory they are at you on the hour very hour, I will leave you fellas with a though about nurses I came across many years ago I think its very fitting
God made man and called him man
He than made woman and called her woman
Then finally he made angles and called them nurses
May God bless you all
Johno
glad to hear you are home.
Thanks Don, tough???? soft as butter mate lol
Johno
you ever tried to put a knife in frozen butter ,,stay cool,,
norm
Well, I'm not sure I heard that definition before. But, I did learn something. I live on top of a dung hill. My back yard is about 2"s deep with Rabbit Raisins.
What is it with old fellas that just don't listen? Doc said you need to take it easy this has been a big operation so first day home I go and hang a 12 foot heavy gate, move the lambing ewes to another paddock bah now you know why I haven't been here for a day or so. I only have one 99 now so my wife has threatened to list it on a sale site if I don't grow up.
Johno
Your wife knows best. Rest and heal.
Johno! I emailed you all those pictures to keep you occupied SITTING DOWN!
Sounds like someone I know with a hernia who wrangles 10 cords of firewood....
Gene, I did reply to your email and really appreciated the photos what a great time it must have been back then, tough for sure really hard to imagine just how hard those times were.
Well Gary i'm glad to hear that in a crippled way just knowing i'm not the only fool on a fool's island is a comfort, feeling ok today also
Johno
Growing up is for little kids!
back in hospital, ambulance road trip yesterday seems to be a major blockage
johno
Just saw this buddy, don’t get in here that much this time of the year.
Hope all is well soon and a speedy recovery.
Hey Joe good to hear from you.
I was rushed back in by ambulance with complications back home again. CT scan result was good no sign of other cancers but I do need to go on chemo due to the depth of the cancer, seems a 5% chance of returning somewhere else so best be safe and yeah sick
Johno
Hang in there, buddy. Anyone who is lucky enough to find a solid frame 22 Hi-P can survive cancer no problem.
Saw the oncologist today expecting to start chemo treatment in a week or so. "I have some news all your results are now back we have down graded you from cat 3 to cat 2, you will not need treatment there are no signs of cancer anywhere else" Praise the Lord says I
Just have to keep keep an eye things CT scans and colonoscopy next year, my thanks for all the best wishes from my mates here it surely helped me keep positive
