Bought them both the same day a few years ago at an auction.

Does the bottom have a 28” barrel?
Let me check for sure.

Anyone have the “Baby Blue Catalogue” referred to in the last picture ad?

That’s the 1897 catalog. Couple folks here have one. Extremely rare tho.

There were repros made for one of the Savagefests.

I have the reprint of the 1895 catalog but there is nothing blue about it.

The 1895 catalog was a yellow cover, I believe.
A quick search finds a 1900 catalog with blue cover.

Yes. But a Savage Repeating Arms ad from 1896-1897 wouldn't be discussing a 1900 Savage Arms catalog.

I don't think there was an 1898 catalog.. because they'd lost Marlin to make them and didn't have a factory.
The 1899 caatalog wasn't blue. Mine is a yellow color.

Unfortunately my 1897 catalog is missing the cover. But believe it was a light blue..
