Was Savage separated from Driggs-Seabury by 1920? I am looking for names of company presidents, 1920-'22.

Thx.
Driggs-Seabury bought them in November of 1915, I believe. I believe they merged into Savage Arms in 1917, and a separate Driggs-Seabury was split off around then. So they hadn't been sold to anybody else.

Management in 1921 was:

W.L. Wright Pres
F.R. Phillips VP
A.F. Hebard VP & Treasurer

Moody's / Poor's listed W. L. Wright as president in their combined year end report published in 1921 for FY 1920. Moody's listed W. L. Wright as president in their year end report published in 1922 for FY 1921. A social register from 1922 indicates that A. F. Hebard was president of Savage Arms Corporation at that time. (Google Books)

The two were merged so I don't think they ever separated - probably just changed management through stock transactions. The quality and workmanship declined about that time.

Looks like W.L. Wright became president of Savage Arms in 1919, replacing Adolphe E. Borie. Wright was VP & General Manager before that. Stayed on as president until 1940 when he was succeeded by F.F. Hickey.

Edit: Borie, Wright were put in place as President and VP by Seabury-Driggs in 1915.
Thanks, guys! I didn't think to look for a Moody's listing that far back. Going through RC Andrew's books, trying to tie in where he had executive contacts with Savage, if ever. RCA drops lots of names.
Been meaning to look up old Presidents of Savage and do a timeline, so thanks for the push to start it. grin
if anyone has any information on W.L. Wright, as in where he was prior to 1915, and regarding his appointment as president of Savage, I would love to hear it. He's my great-grandfather and I know nothing of his life. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
That information can probably be found.. give me a bit, or maybe Grogel will jump in.
