Here's something you don't see every day--Winchester 94 frame with a Savage 1899 .303 barrel fitted to it.

Very interesting... but...
That is interesting, never seen the likes of it before. It would be unique to be out hunting with a tubular magazine .303 Savage rifle. It is an agenda of mine to not be so drawn to novelty guns like this - that I actually purchase them. eek
I saw a marlin recently with a Savage 23 barrel screwed on it... odd that two such beast would show up around the same time...
For a while I had a Winchester 1890 with a GECO Model 1919 barrel pinned-and-sleeved in, with the 1890 rings soldered on the bottom. Was probably a Great Depression job where labor was cheaper than parts.

After a botched re-sleeving job, I sent it t Corelokt here and between us we found enough parts to bring it back to original condition, its my niece's 10th birthday present.
Yep:

Somebody took 2 broken guns and made one out of them.

Our grandparents were very resourceful. Our greatest generation. Necessity truly is the mother of invention.

Today people hire people to cut their grass and clean their houses.

Amazing.
